Madeleine, from Rothley, Leicestershire, UK, disappeared from an apartment in the Algarve resort of Praia da Luz on 3rd May.
She is 4 years old, and has a distinctive "black flash" in her eye, where her pupil runs into her iris.
Portugese police have interviewed a number of people, and are working closely with British police. No arrests have been made.
URGENT APPEAL FOR PHOTOGRAPHS ISSUED 21st MAY 2007
British police are calling on members of the public to help further in
the search for Madeleine McCann. If you were at the Ocean Club Resort,
Praia da Luz in Portugal, or in the surrounding areas, in the two weeks leading up to
Madeleine’s disappearance on Thursday 3 May then they would like to have
copies of any photographs taken during your stay, particularly if they include people not known to you (other tourists etc). You can upload your photographs at http://www.madeleine.ceopupload.com/ or, if you are in the UK and have difficulty uploading, call into any high street branch of Jessops Photography and they will assist you with conversion from film to digital and uploading.
THERE IS A REWARD OF £2,500,000 (approx. US$5 MILLION) ON OFFER TO ANYONE GIVING INFORMATION WHICH LEADS TO THE SAFE RETURN OF MADELEINE TO HER PARENTS.
